'Moderate or Good, Occasionally Poor' This work expresses the theme of 'Drift' in the form of a political cartoon in motion. It is literally visualised as a piece of political theatre;, variously referencing multiple governmental crises over the past several years including: Covid; climate change; employment law; food poverty; immigration; pollution and international geopolitical tensions. The classical figure of Britannia is revealed as a cardboard cut-out, whilst the skeleton crew; have succumbed to the effects of food/fuel poverty, disease and neglect. Britannia is cast adrift, sailing uncontrollably into a thick fog. She appears to be holding a glass of something to fortify her through her perilous voyage. She is not however throwing a party; it is most definitely a work meeting.
