My art practice centres on aspects of culture, language and audience and their interweaving. It explores the meaning of words generated through conversations, collaboration and research by reworking them as performances, sculptures, videos and exhibitions that also reflect their spatial connotations. My artworks reference contemporary interactions between humans, nature and the world at large. Within the curatorial concept of communication I strive to re-discover the relationship between humans (and artists) and the world and to share a new understanding of this relationship that can point to possible ways of living and creating together. The dictionary definition of 'drift' inspired me to create this artwork. I captured the movement and sound in a single recording. The linear composition emphasizes movement but also the absence of play for which the roundabout is intended. For me, drift is the play that the artist enacts wherever she finds her in the world.
