When will the Art World start to become more accessible? Inclusive? Or do we have to create our own space? This work explores landscape and old buildings that local teenagers decided to create their own art gallery in the abandoned and derelict Boys Village during the pandemic lockdown. This Village was built for the Sons of Miners and the village offered the children respite from the polluted and unhealthy atmosphere of the Valleys industrial towns. Opened on August 8, 1925. My artistic expression depends upon the use and combination of the Canon 310XL Super 8 and pocket cinema cameras. My works focus on the ideas behind the fundamental human experiences and shifting landscape of western politics that puts GDP before people.
