My practice as a film-maker converges on poetic investigations of the landscapes in and around the Scottish Borders town of Jedburgh where I live. I see landscape as a site of complexity, a domain of unease, eeriness, conflicting desires, needs and entitlements. I'm particularly interested in how sound can drive moving imagery. In this case both sound and imagery are clearly derived from specific tropes and clichés associated with the psychedelic road movie. I wanted to connect to the theme by presenting a short work which literally drifts through a landscape and at the same time which alludes to a sense of unease, a feeling that all is not well.
