I live on a small island so I am always near the coastline. Wandering the coast is a pastime of our family. The theme drift resonates with me. To drift meaning shifting movement or aimless direction, casual deviations, a wandering - can be interpreted many ways.   I interpreted drift like a wandering journey. Moments flowing through time and moments passing. To drift is to wander.   This video is a shifting moment of aimless direction. No rushing, just drifting. Some moments in life drift past slowly without us noticing.   I made this by layering footage of an ink painting being made with shots of my daughter and I, cut and pasted together to give the impression that we are drifting in and out of the video.
