Inspired by the turquoise waters and golden rocks and sands of Fionnphort, Mull, my work explores the shifting light and elemental energy of the west coast through this semi-abstract seascape. Using oil and cold wax medium, I build textured, layered surfaces that evoke the movement and atmosphere of the sea. This painting is a sensory response to place, its rhythms, moods, and memory, offering a contemplative space between realism and abstraction.
