Laocoön of Portobello (or woman with sea snake) is a painting I made to celebrate the countless hours I spend at the beach and the love I have of the ocean. There's a terrifying power to the sea and it feels like a place of boundaries, where the land meets the sea, and where humans meet nature - the connection between the human and animal is an important theme in my work, and the beach is where I often see this relationship play out.
