The piece experiments with an idea that by looking 'more closely' at life beneath the waves we can come to 'know' it better. In fact for me, this only hightened the mystery. Seamat, is an epiphytic colonial animal that lives on kelp and other seaweeds; so here I have chosen to overlay the images using screen-printing processes to give an impression of the mystery and translucency proferred by so much life in the sea.
