Greg Thomas Bryce
This work is priced unframed.
Taken in late May 2021 a few days after arriving in Istanbul. I was adapting to a new form of isolation in a city I know but haven't been able to visit for so long, with evening and weekend curfews, public transport for all purposes out of bounds and nowhere to walk to. Still, the views from the apartment and particularly from my father in law's study inspire an internal spirit of adventure that Istanbul requires. The photograph shows in reflection, the view across the neighbourhood with its run down apartment blocks gradually sloping down to the Bosphorus whilst also capturing some of the countless Turkish books filling the shelves that I have no ability to read.
