'Geisha Rising' represents the love of Colour and Line together with the desire to feel part of the artwork. To literally and metaphorically exist amongst the layers of the scene. Each layer, each line represents me, lost in the unescapable 'flow'; of drawing, lost between the Line, amidst the wood, fuelled by the human desire to register 'presence' as well as to be momentarily absent. Each Panel fits into corresponding custom slots on a one-piece clear acrylic base to be both rigid and vertical. It comes as a flat pack of 6 vertical panels and 1 slotted base which takes about 30 minutes (max) to install. She can be viewed from multiple angles allowing viewers to walk around the work observing multiple layers and meanings depending upon their vantage point.
