'Meeting Place' is a balance between painting, sculpture and textiles. The process of stitching the work is meditative much like the walk I do most days to the beach situated close to my home, experiencing the changing rhythm and patterns of the seasons. This everyday ordinary/fabulous allows me to reimagine the vast landscape of Orkney and the in between moments of dawn, dust and twilight that has created a restrained colour palette within my work.

This small experimental work, is a steel frame with naturally dyed indigo fabric sewn around it, within the middle is light pink silk dyed with avocado skins, and nylon mesh fabric as a background. There are two steel lines running across the frame, one of these lines is attached to the background with indigo threads.
