    This collagraph/mixed media work started from a beach comb on Aberdeen beach. The majority of found objects were discarded plastic which were used to form the collagraph. The title Fairy Pool comes from an actual place in the Isle of Skye. The pools are steeped in folklore, legend and intertwined with mythology - fairies, selkies and half human creatures feature. The pools also have a darker history involving a bloody battle between the MacLeods and MacDonalds. The battle so fierce and violent it turned the vivid aqua blue colour of the pools red with blood.
