Broken Pier investigates the struggle of man-made structures against the harshness of the Scottish environment. Geometric shapes clash with gestural marks, conveying the constant clashes within the Scottish coastal landscapes. Constant environmental battles eventually create a sense of equilibrium. The broken pier, weary from the decay of time, is held up proudly by the natural elements, which wouldn't have formed without the pier's existence.
